Fishing Report: Manistee River – August 2, 2022

I hope everyone has been enjoying their summer, I sure have!

I’ve been blessed to have my daughter home a lot recently and we have been out fishing lots together as well as some awesome trips with customers. My main focus has been small and large mouth bass the last 6 weeks or so, along with the occasional pike. The fishing has been pretty solid and have been blessed with some real quality bass so far this year. Soft plastic baits and top water baits have been my go-to.

But like every year certain seasons bring new opportunities, I’m filling up my fall salmon and steelhead season very nicely. I do have some great days available in October still and early November as well. The last few years early November fished great. Don’t hesitate to gimme a shout if interested in a trip.

Salmon will be here in the local rivers soon ill be running early a.m. crank bait trips as soon as there are fishable numbers in the system. Ill keep ya posted!
