Fishing Report: Big Manistee River (Tippy to the Lake) – August 22, 2023
Big Manistee river – “tippy to the lake”
Salmon season is underway on the Big Manistee river! Favorable weather conditions have sent the first push of king salmon into the river system last week. I was able to fish with family and we were successful. I’ve primarily been out in the early a.m. as salmon like low light and the water temp is still warm. I’m offering half day fishing trips on the river till the end of the month.
It is a great way to spend morning and the fish are a handful right now!
