First River Fishing Report of 2020!
It’s spring steelhead season on the Manistee river!

The river flow is 3260 cfs and the water temperature is 38 degrees.
We got a nice push of water from some rain and snow melt earlier this week. A nice push of steelhead are in the river system. I’ve been mostly bottom bouncing with the water coming up. I’ve been using beads, egg fly patterns and different types of flies like buggers and salmon fry minnow patterns. With the water being up and off colored don’t be scared to use brighter beads and what not. I think this spring is going to come early this year. So the next few weeks could be the best. If your interested in getting on some good fishing, let’s get it done!
God bless,
Chris Martin
